The Fleece is making its mark on the vibrant Bristol club scene with an electrifying new event series, spotlighting the finest in electronic dance music from both Bristol and beyond.

For our inaugural event, we’re bringing together two dynamic talents, each with roots in Bristol and Liverpool, and a shared history of releasing music on Bristol-based record labels.

First up is DJ Polo, dropping his eagerly anticipated EP ‘If the Glove Fits’ fresh off the presses of Bristol’s esteemed Livity Sounds. This EP seamlessly blends elements of UK funky, footwork, and gqom into a sonic journey that transcends borders, destined to reverberate from the beaches of Miami to the forests of Kampala. With regular appearances on Rinse FM and sets at renowned venues like Fabric and Corsica Studios and the Cause DJ Polo is a pionees of the UK Funky scene, championing both local talent and international innovators in the realms of afrohouse and amapiano inspired artists.

Joining him is Dual Monitor, representing Liverpool and bridging the musical connection between the two cities. Their latest release, ‘Hard 19,’ has already become a fan favorite, showcasing Dual Monitor’s adeptness at blending house, techno, dembow, and jungle influences. With appearances on platforms such as Rinse FM and Boiler Room, Dual Monitor is no stranger to the global stage, yet finds a special resonance in Bristol, where they’ve graced the stages of The Crown and Love Inn and Love Saves the Day.

Together, these two remarkable artists will ignite the start of a thrilling new chapter for The Fleece, promising an unforgettable night of UK Funky, Afrobeat, Breaks and footwork.
