Brighton, England-based alt-rock duo ARXX packs a punch, combining crunchy riffs and solid drumming with cutting vocals, queer perspectives, and a slick pop flair. Their debut EP, Daughters of Daughters, saw release in 2018. They followed it with a series of short-form releases including the 2019 EP Wrong Girl Honey and singles like 2022’s “Can’t Stand You.”

ARXX was originally the solo project of vocalist/guitarist Hanni Pidduck, who reached out to Clara Townsend in 2017 to ask if she knew any drummers, only for Townsend to put herself forward. The pair gelled instantly, leading to their debut EP, Daughters of Daughters, in 2018. That year, they toured the U.K. in support of Dream Wife. Their second EP, Wrong Girl Honey, followed in 2019 and featured “Iron Lung,” which crossed the million-stream threshold. A series of singles appeared over the next few years, including 2020’s “Call Me Crazy,” 2021’s “Deep,” and 2022’s “Can’t Stand You,” a collaboration with AA Sessions, paperflag, and PROJECTOR.
