Kanine & A Night In Texas at The Fleece Bristol on Wednesday 24 Feb 2027

Kanine are a French slamming deathcore band formed in 2020 by Gabriel Labeauvie, initially on drums before switching to guitar, and vocalist Jason Gerhard. With a shared ambition to make brutal deathcore, the pair were soon joined by guitarist Alexandre Lorentz. Drummer Yannick Michel, bassist Lucas Vogel and guitarist Florent Lambert completed the lineup the following year.

The band signed with Lacerated Enemy Records and released their debut album, KARNAGE, in July 2022. Mixed and mastered by Demigod Recordings, the album received a strong reception and helped Kanine establish a dedicated fanbase.

A series of singles and music videos followed between 2023 and 2025, developing the band’s sound and building their presence in the deathcore scene.

Their second album, KHAOS, arrived on 17 April 2026, marking the next chapter for the band and cementing their growing reputation in extreme metal.

A Night in Texas is a premier powerhouse in the global technical deathcore scene. Hailing from Cairns and based in Brisbane, Australia, the five-piece unit has built a fierce reputation for delivering punishing breakdowns, razor-sharp riffing, and gravity-defying blastbeats with surgical precision. Since their inception in 2009, they have consistently pushed the boundaries of extreme metal through a relentless sonic onslaught.

Signed to the esteemed extreme music label Unique Leader Records, the band’s storied discography includes genre-defining albums like The God Delusion (2015) and Global Slaughter

(2017). Their latest full-length record, The Darkest Side of Humanity (released September 4, 2026), marks their darkest and most vicious chapter yet. Produced by the band’s own guitarist

Cory Judd and mixed by Christian Donaldson, the album seamlessly blends blistering speed with symphonic, oppressive atmospheres. [1, 2, 3, 4]
